We are able to keep costs down by designing around the Eaton M90 3rd generation supercharger that was used in the Ford T-Bird “supercoupe” from 1989 to 1995. The inlet (must) be the oval as in late 1995 Ford went to a rectangular that is (not) “compatible” with this kit.
Q: This item will work perfect on a 99 ranger 4x4 with the 4.0 liter v6 correct? All the parts are included except M90 supercharger - nothing else 2 buy? Apr-13-06
A: No! I believe your engine is a OHV. This will only work on the SOHC engine only.
Q: Any Chance you can have one of these made for an OHV 4.0???? Apr-11-06
A: If you would like me to contact you when I have a manifold setup for the OHV, send me your personal email address. I will add you to my list, for notification. regards, Ron
Q: I LIVE IN NEW YORK AND WAS WONDERING IF DOING THIS TO MY TRUCK WOULD INTERFERE WITH THE OBD2 AND THE EMISSIONS? Apr-10-06
A: As far as computer codes have not had one error message since it was installed in my vehicle. The emission controls have not been removed, just relocated. Using a supercharger should have no effect on emissions, but check with your local. If your 4.0 SOHC has the EGR on the drivers side, it would be same as mine. If you wish send me your personal email address and I'll give you the link to my web page, with additional info.
Q: I found a importer to bring your kit to Australia - need to know no of boxes & ruff sizes of boxes for the importer? Apr-10-06
A: One shipping box. 20 x 12 x 10 inches. Weight 19 lbs. regards, Ron
Q: Does the kit come with a installation write-up or instructions? I think I could handle the install, but its nice to have something to reference. Also on behalf of the SOHC ranger community thanks for building this! Apr-09-06
A:It comes with instructions for the removal of the original parts and instructions for the installation. If you send me your personal email address I can send you to the instruction webpage.
