We are able to keep costs down by designing around the Eaton M90 3rd generation supercharger that was used in the Ford T-Bird “supercoupe” from 1989 to 1995. The inlet (must) be the oval as in late 1995 Ford went to a rectangular that is (not) “compatible” with this kit.
Q: Can you make a kit for a 96 4.0, also your work looks very clean :) Apr-06-06
A: The OHV will be a future project. There will be additional requirements. Fuel pump, injectors, etc. The installation will be more involved. If you wish, send me your personal email address and I'll add it to my list of contacts. I'll notify you when I have the OHV system available.
Q: WHAT MODIFICATIONS WERE DONE TO THE COMPUTER TO RUN THE BLOWER KIT ON YOUR RANGER TO ENSURE THE TUNE WAS CORRECT(AIR/FUEL RATIO & IGN TIMING ETC) Apr-05-06
A: No modifications were done for the first 15,000 miles. I had no detonation or timing problems at all. After around 15,000 miles my mileage was increasing from 15 to 17 miles per gallon. Somewhere around that time I took it in for my 1st dyno run and found it was starting to lean out on top end. Shortly there after I had a SCT Flash tune for fuel enrichment only. Also he set shift points for my automatic. I'd planed on installing 30lb injectors and 80mm gt maf and then get a final tune, but have not done it yet. It's putting out around 60 add'l hp at rear wheels. Got plenty of power for a daily driver. Any other questions you can also use my email email@example.com
Q: If supercharger is not included then why do you show a picture of the charger? Sounds to me like this ad is very misleading. Apr-03-06
A: This ad is not misleading! The 4th sentence in the description states: NOTE! SUPERCHARGER IS NOT INCLUDED The main reason it is shown is to allow a visual image of how the completed unit will look. The other reason is so that if an individual wishes to purchase the supercharger on Ebay they will know what it should look like. There are many M90's made for different vehicles. The only one that will work is the one I stated. I am posting this question and answer, as it is NOT my intent to mislead. regards, Ron
Q: I was wondering if this kit will fit on a 1992 ranger 4.0L. Thanks for your help. Mar-23-06
A: No! The 1992 will be the OHV. Hopefully in the near future I will provide a setup. If you like send me you email and I will file it and send you a notice when its available.
